We’re excited to share a kitchen reveal with you that we’re very proud of! This project was a special one as it was part of a Certified Passive House, an approach to building that prioritizes energy efficiency, thermal comfort, and exceptional air quality through airtight construction and thoughtful material choices.
Constructed to run on just a tenth of the energy required by a standard house, this Passive House, crafted by Kipnis Architecture + Planning, generates all the energy it needs from renewable resources, dramatically reducing its environmental impact while offering a new standard of low-impact, high-performance living.
In collaboration with interior design firm Lauren Coburn, we designed a Valcucine kitchen to support the Passive House ethos. This project perfectly reflects what we care about at Mobili Mobel: thoughtful materials, intelligent design, and spaces that work beautifully for the people and the planet. Proof that sustainable living doesn’t have to sacrifice design or style!
Materials that Matter
Every material was selected for its performance over time.
Recyclable glass for material integrity and dematerialized design
Sustainably harvested wood for material integrity and tactile comfort
Aluminum frames for enduring strength and a zero-waste footprint
As seen in Sheridan Road Magazine
This kitchen was recently featured in Sheridan Road magazine and celebrates how the home feels calm and architecturally refined, but operates at the highest level of performance. This kitchen offers a real-world example of what intentional, low-impact design can look like.
